Ingredients of Ginger Ale

  1. It's of water.
  2. It's of ginger, peeled and thinly sliced.
  3. You need of grated lemon zest.
  4. You need of raw cane sugar/coconut sugar.
  5. It's of sea salt.
  6. It's of mint leaves.
  7. Prepare of lemon wedges.
  8. You need of Sparkling water.
  9. You need of Ice cubes.

Ginger Ale step by step

  1. In a saucepan put ginger, lemon zest and water. Boil it on high heat for 5 minutes..
  2. Add sugar, simmer for 20 minutes or till the liquid reduces to 3 cups..
  3. When it is just warm add shredded mint leaves and sea salt. Leave it to cool down..
  4. Use a fine strainer to strain out all the solids..
  5. You can refrigerate this concentrated syrup in a glass bottle up to a week..
  6. When you want to use it mix 1/4th cup of the syrup with 3 parts of sparkling water/soda. Pour it over a few ice cubes in a glass..
  7. Throw in a lemon wedge and few mint leaves. Serve instantly..
