- It's of Chicken pieces with skin, I usually just use about 4 breasts and 2 drumsticks.
- You need of Salt (to taste).
- Prepare of ginger and garlic paste.
- You need of bottle Minnie's Portuguese peri peri sauce.
- You need of chillie flakes.
- It's of coarse black pepper.
- You need of fresh cream or less depending on chicken quantity.
Nando's style Portuguese chicken instructions
- Steam chicken pieces in half cup boiling water,steam with ginger and garlic paste and 1 teaspoon salt.
- Once chicken is steamed,remove off the stove.
- In a bowl mix in the fresh cream with Portuguese sauce,add in chillie flakes and black peper.
- Coat chicken with half the sauce.
- On a hot grill drizzle olive oil, place the chicken pieces, keep basting with sauce and turn over until well grilled..
- Remove chicken, for the remaining sauce place it on the grill and then poir it over the grilled chicken,this adds excellent flavour.
- Serve with green salad, Portuguese rolls and chips.
- NB: The chicken remains perfectly moist and will be saucy.
